PostAWOL Lily

Hmmm Lily's gone AWOL this morning.

She had a tiny vomit - grass - and then disappeared and didn't come back for her food, which is not like her at all. I've been calling and whistling for her for well over an hour now, and I'm starting to feel anxious...

It's a very windy day though and maybe she can't hear me, especially if she's down by the river.

I'm going to go out now and post a letter and see if I can find her on my way. I'm sure I'm worrying about nothing.

runaround

Thanks Yorkshirerose.

Well.. the little minx, I got a few yards from the house and suddenly heard her plaintive wailing, indicating she's been close by all along! She's in a funny mood, mind you, but she's fine.

I put her food back down and she's not taken to it, plus I found a 4-5" blade of grass in it which had just come up! So I think she's a little bit off colour, but okay in herself.

I went back out to post the letter after I had settled her in and I'm glad I did. I know I'd never have gotten off my butt had I not originally gone out to look for Lily and it's such a lovely sunny day out - albeit a bit windy. I had a lovely walk along the river and saw cows in the fields, carefully avoiding all the horse poo on the footpath lol.

All's well that ends well as they say. thumbs up

Awww glad to hear that she has come home safe and sound smile

Maisie disappeared when she was young for a whole day and a night and we were out of our heads with worry. We can only assume that she got locked inside someones shed or something because she just came home, walked into the utility room (where we feed the cats) had a good dinner and then lay down and slept for hours.

Don't these cats just love giving us grey hair?

I know... the little critters have no idea lol.

My previous cat, Kipper, went missing and was underneath a neighbour's shed for days... but that's another long story lol.

You're right Hamster, and I'm a born worrier when it comes to my fur babies lol.

Lily's been fine tonight and as she's been a little off colour today, I fed her fresh chicken breast - and there were no complaints from her! drool
